Where is the best place to find electric darners? ›

Electric Darners can be found on Hyrule Ridge and in the Gerudo Desert. Beedle also sells them at Riverside Stable. They can be used with Monster Parts in a Cooking Pot to make an Electro Elixir, which will temporarily provide Shock Resistance to Link.

In addition, Beedle sells certain dragonflies depending on his location. When Link returns to South Akkala Stable with the dragonflies, Jana will ask for them. However, she is unable to bring herself to take them from Link, and she tells Link to give them to Gleema for her.

Habitat and Distribution

Dragonflies needs water to reproduce. In summer, the common green darner buzzes around warm, still water, such as lakes, ponds, wetlands, marshes, and backwater areas of slow streams throughout North America.

Cold Darners can be found in cold regions of Hyrule Kingdom, such as Hyrule Ridge and the Tabantha Frontier. They can also be purchased from traveling merchants, such as Maypin and Beedle at the Kara Kara Bazaar and Woodland Stable.

Warm Darners can be found in open areas of the Akkala Highlands and Hyrule Field. They're also sold by Maypin and by Beedle at Gerudo Canyon Stable, Rito Stable, Serenne Stable, and Snowfield Stable.

The ringed boghaunter is one of the rarest dragonflies in North America. It is found in acidic fens, bogs, and small wetlands dominated by Sphag- num, and is sometimes associated with forests of Atlantic white cedar, black spruce, or larch.

Where to Find Shock Likes. Shock Likes can be found in any cave in Hyrule, though they appear more often in certain regions.

In order to complete the Side Quest, Link must Cook either a Cold Darner or a Winterwing Butterfly with Monster Parts to make a Chilly Elixir. Beedle, who can be found nearby, sells Cold Darners for 10 Rupees. Once he is in possession of a Chilly Elixir, Link can return to Guy.

Smotherwing Butterflies can be found in areas of Death Mountain and Eldin Canyon with Scorching Climates, often on the edges of lava lakes. Beedle also sells them at East Akkala Stable and Wetland Stable.
